Marie Štindlová: Prsten na parkovišti/ A Ring in the Parking Lot

Vernisáž výstavy Prsten na parkovišti Marie Štindlové, rezidentky Brno Artists in Residence vybranou Fakultou výtvarných umění a Domem umění města Brna v rámci společného programu pro úspěšného absolventa fakulty.

Výstava Marie Štindlové vychází z jejího dlouhotrvajícího zájmu o tvorbu textů a možností jejich uplatnění v kombinaci s uměleckými instalacemi. Pro usazení textu do formátu výstavy tentokrát autorka volí kresby velkých rozměrů, kterými předěluje prostor. Opakující se objekty na kresbách – koule, kužel, trubice – nás odvádějí od reálného světa k fantaskní, tajemné atmosféře klidu a nehybnosti. Neskutečné a snové objekty vznášející se například nad zamrzlým oceánem zvou návštěvníka ke vstupu na „scénu“ výstavy, aby se ztrácel a bloudil v trojrozměrném metafyzickém prostoru.

Marie Štindlová se narodila v roce 1990 v Praze, kde momentálně i žije a pracuje. Vystudovala na Fakultě výtvarných umění v Brně. Je členkou skupiny TMA a spolu s Danou Balážovou a Markétou Filipovou se věnuje společné malbě fresek v rámci uskupení s názvem Comunite fresca. Od roku 2014 je asistentkou kurátora v pražské Fotograf Gallery.

Opening of the exhibition A Ring in the Parking Lot by Marie Štindlová, resident of the Brno Artists in Residence selected by the Faculty of Fine Arts and the Brno House of Arts within their programme for a successful graduate of the faculty.

The exhibition of Marie Štindlová is based on her long-standing interest in creating texts and the possibilities of their use in combination with artistic installations. This time, the artist has chosen to place the text in the exhibition format by means of large-scale drawings; she uses them to section the space. Repeating objects in the drawings – spheres, cones, tubes – take us from the real world to a dreamlike, mysterious atmosphere of calmness and immobility. Unreal and oneiric objects floating above e.g. a frozen ocean invite the visitor to enter the “scene” of the exhibition, to get lost and wander through three-dimensional metaphysical space.

Marie Štindlová was born in 1990 in Prague, where she currently lives and works. She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Brno. She is a member of the TMA group and, together with Dana Balážová and Markéta Filipová, she is involved in collective painting of frescoes within the Communite Fresca group. Since 2014 she has been assistant curator at the Fotograf Gallery in Prague.
