Pop-kulturní chytře zábavné představení Queendom zobrazuje role obou pohlaví od dob renesance po současnost a vrství je přes sebe až do extrému, ve kterém se však ukazuje jejich reálná absurdita. Gender sem, gender tam.
Sedm tvorů, sedm ženských těl. Panny, královny, myslitelky, matky a válečnice. Skrze diváckou imaginaci jsou přivedeny k životu a připraveny vzít si zpět, co jejich jest…Ženy jako ženy, ženy jako muži. Je čas udělat si v těch rolích pořádek:-)
Úspěšný nonverbální projekt maďarské režisérky Veroniky Szabó je mixem současného tance, fyzického divadla s prvky drag show a improvizace. Jazykové bariéry se bát nemusíte.

Seven creatures, seven female bodies. Virgins, queens, thinkers, mothers and warriors. They appear for you and through you. Your imagination brings them to life and they are ready to take back what is theirs.
Queendom is at the intersection of contemporary performance, physical theatre and drag shows. It is based on structured improvisation where the audience’s presence becomes the co-creator of a performance that takes a different shape every night. It displays female and male representations from the Renaissance up to today’s pop culture. It presents roles, projecting them onto each other until their contours fade, allowing the audience’s gaze to redraw them.
The performance displays explicit sexual content and nudity.
Veronika Szabó is a freelance performer, director and community theatre facilitator. She has graduated in physical theatre and contemporary theatre practices at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama mainly working on rethinking the director’s role. She has been working for years on immersive, site-specific and participatory theatre performances. Her work is defined by her interest in involving her audience in performaces as an active co-creator invited to play instead of taking the passive role of a spectator. Recently she focuses on different aspects of gender in her performances. Her works have been presented at festivals in the Uinted Kingdom, Germany and Hungary.
